Created for and written exclusively by First Direct customers, ‘The Little Black Book’ was an online repository of experiences, tip offs and recommendations.
A first generation UGC platform LBB helped aggregate uploaded recommendations of the best places to eat, sleep, shop and drink from across the UK. Constantly changing and evolving the interface sorted and re-ordered depending on live site user recommendations and votes. Global filters gave quick access to content and the use of colour and physical size in the interface gave visual cues as to the relevance and popularity of a particular item or search criteria.
